Private birth classes may be an option for those who find that traditional birth classes do not fit their needs. I believe that every family deserves an opportunity to become educated on their options and to prepare for their baby’s birthday. Private classes may be an option for those who:

- Are planning a cesarean birth and need information and assistance
- Want more detailed information on newborn care
- Are close to their due date and can’t get a series of classes completed in time
- Are in the hospital or on bed rest
- Have children at home and cannot arrange childcare for weekly classes
- Have school and/or work obligations prevent them from being in a weekly class
- Would prefer to work with me one on one

Planned Cesarean Class If you’re welcoming your new baby via cesarean, you might be surprised to learn that you have options for your birth. In this class we’ll create a plan for your cesarean birth that is mother and baby friendly. We’ll discuss what to expect, anesthesia and post operative pain relief, your preferences and priorities for your cesarean experience, and postpartum care. This class meets one time, and lasts up to 2.5 hours. The fee is $250.
Just the FAQs About Newborns Newborns don’t come with instruction manuals but this private class is the next best thing! During our time together I’ll provide you with the hands on practice and information that you need to parent your newborn with confidence. Topics include calming and soothing using the 5S’s from Happiest Baby on the Block, general newborn sleep patterns, general baby care, baby wearing and other topics of interest. This class meets one time, and lasts up to 2.5 hours. The fee is $250.
